"What is elementary, daily, the influence of the weather, as well as the same interpretations of the classic landscape are now vibrant in the immensity of the city, in the shadows, in the tilted roofs of the typical profile of the industrial zone, and there is where we are taken to practice, not once but a thousand times, that referral, the one that no one has learned to appreciate to make it rise to the highest of aesthetics."

Creating stems from a personal vanishing point, with strokes of infinite possibilities; creating is a delirium that comes like a prism of colors interpreting images; inspiration makes your pupil dilate, exposing it to a maximum in order to capture your surroundings the same way the lens of a photographic does it. Each second of our lives is registered through our senses, and the painter prepares a preliminary palette in his/her memory.

An abstract work compels us to prepare ourselves for its interpretation, leading us to carefully examine its content and deduce the origin of its referent. To modestly find a message within it or to fully appreciate its aesthetic qualities, each stroke must be an integral part of the work, and the use of color contributes to creating an atmosphere where the minute life of beings unfolds.Similarly, a work that breaks the paradigm of the horizon line prompts us to consider the artist's perspective. In Lorena's work, we are clearly outside the landscape or positioned above it, as external subjects viewed from the air, or with landscapes rendered using flat elements, without any intention of manipulating light or concern for perspective, making it clear that the landscape is nothing more than a space or the harmonious set of spatial relationships.
